“Back in the Big Smoke”
Bull Island (or North Bull Island to be precise) is situated in the Irish Sea just off Clontarf and is accessible by car or foot via a wooden bridge. The Artdeco bathing shelters and Kiosk on the Bull Wall were designed by Herbert Simms, (Housing architect to Dublin Corporation from 1932 until 1948), in 1934

Took a drive out to Vartry Reservoir (near Roundwood, County Wicklow) a couple of weekends ago and took a camera. A sunny day for the most part and we enjoyed a walk along the bank before heading home again. While she wasn’t paying any attention to me, I took a few shots for The Little Red Hat website while shooting the river and trees. This one was edited in Adobe LR which I learned from photographer Nick Fancher’s amazing book Studio Anywhere. His book has made a massive difference to my Lightroom experience and how I now approach photography. Always learning, always experimenting… I will be posting more from the set at davedwyer.com .
Snapped these happy chappies in Portmarnock a while back. They have no fear of the camera or anything else for that matter and almost get themselves run over on a daily basis as they jump the wall onto the busy road nearby. Motorists please note…

Had a great trip to Clifden last year and took the Nikon with me around the hills of Connemara, there really is nowhere like it in the World.
This was shot somewhere along the way from Clifden to Renvyle and back.
We had the craic…
Stopped by the roadside yesterday in Meath (R154) to snap this field of gold just beside the now defunct Warrenstown Arms. I remembered I once played a gig in Warrenstown College back in the day, it was great craic and absolute mayhem at the same time.
It was actually a dark shitty day with very dark clouds, but it gave a lot of atmosphere, I brightened the clouds up a bit with a bit of help from Lightroom. What do you think?

Or should I say Casa Corazon, Ibiza
This is a very special part of the world. I feel very lucky to have landed here yesterday with the wifey for a much needed break from work. 😄👍
Surrounded by cats, lovely hippies, yes there are still a few of us left, and a cheeky little dog named Lily. This place is a welcome retreat from civilization whatever and wherever that is. More to come..
